Some Senators players were back on the ice yesterday while others were on their way back to Ottawa from across North America and Europe. Teams are now scrambling to complete their rosters before the season starts. Senators GM Bryan Murray says he’s in the market for a defenceman because of injuries. Meanwhile Senators president Cyril Leeder said yesterday the team wants to send a message to fans that they are sorry. Details of incentives to bring fans back will be announced in the next couple of days.
As you probably know, yesterday, the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players’ Association reached a tentative agreement on a new 10 year Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). That new CBA must still be voted on and ratified by the NHL owners and the NHL players in the next few days.
Once the CBA is ratified, we will announce all the relevant details about the upcoming season including the game and broadcast schedules, ticket on sale dates and other useful information so that you are ready for the start of Senators hockey.
We appreciate that this has been a difficult time for all of our fans and we thank you for your continued patience and support. We will work hard to reward your patience and support in the months and years ahead, starting by putting a team on the ice that you can be proud of.
